Race 6 Yearlings Final
Race 6 Yearlings Final saw 668 pigeons basketed for Prince Albert Road on the 596km flight to Central Provincial Loft in Bloemfontein, with 208 fanciers competing.
Liberation brought clear skies and cool 11–13°C temperatures, with a light south-westerly wind of 10–15km/h giving the pigeons a helpful tailwind northeast. By the midpoint, temperatures reached 19–21°C under partly cloudy skies as the wind swung easterly at 15–20km/h, turning into a testing side-headwind. Temperatures peaked at 23–25°C on arrival, with a gusty easterly wind and thickening cloud cover as a cold front approached Bloemfontein.
Top 10 Arrivals
Chloe's Loft claimed the win at 1081.09 m/min with 'Fiona', leading Central Provincial Loft's Race 6 Yearlings Final home. Wimpie & James followed in 2nd with 'Chiquitita'. Bomb Squad claimed 3rd, with SDK Lofts close behind in 4th. Parsons, Jacques took 5th, with Malherbe, Valerie following in 6th. Team Oberholster came home in 7th with 'Cotton', with Ferreira Hokke in 8th. Burger & Gouws claimed 9th, and Tsunami & Dr Piet van Wyk completed the top 10 — the entire top 10 arriving within 14 minutes and 57 seconds of the winner.

In Central Provincial Loft's Race 6 Yearlings Final, 62 out of 208 competing fanciers qualified for this ranking by meeting the minimum requirement of basketing at least 4 pigeons.
Rankings are based on the percentage of a fancier's basketed pigeons placing within the top 5% of the race (the top 33 out of 668 total entries), with ties broken by the highest average velocity of those positions.
