The Race

Race 9 of the Victoria Falls World Challenge Pigeon Race went off on 6 June 2026 from Anderson Farm over 184 kilometres. With 403 fanciers and 1615 pigeons in the air, this is one of the most internationally competitive one loft races on the calendar and Race 9 did not disappoint.

The Winner

Kirsten and Janneke from the Netherlands took the win, clocking a blistering 1542.8174 metres per minute with pigeon ZA013 to arrive home at 08:29:15. A standout velocity and a deserved victory on the day.

The Top Ten

The international flavour of this race was on full display. Rory Smith Loft from the United States finished second, Bennane and Kaidi from Spain third, Thomas Pahnke from Germany fourth, Al-Hazm Loft fifth, Martin Hetzel from Germany sixth, Jelle Jellema from the Netherlands seventh, Team Nordic Air from Denmark eighth, Murray and Mills and RKS Racing from the United Kingdom ninth and Ahmet Cavdar from Turkey tenth.
