The Marlbank One Loft Race Funny Money competition kicked off on 6 June 2026 with a training toss from Ventersburg over 164 kilometres. Released at 07:15, the field of 1453 pigeons representing 254 fanciers made this one of the most hotly contested opening tosses of the South African one loft season.

The Winner

Loft Einkamerer took the top position with ZA-25-EIN-125, clocking an impressive 1233.0302 metres per minute to arrive home at 09:28:00. A dominant opening performance that immediately puts Loft Einkamerer at the front of the conversation.

Top Ten

Skypilots pushed hard in second with ZA-25-VPU-2588 at 1224.5279mpm, arriving 55 seconds behind the winner. Leohan Hokke secured third with ZA-25-VSD-226 clocking 1216.7526mpm. AJ Van Tonder fourth, Karoo Million fifth and East of Eden sixth — all arriving within two minutes of the winner and all clocking above 1215mpm. A notable international entry, Marc de Cock and Friends from Belgium, landed seventh with BE-26-4060909 at 1187.2701mpm. Loft Einkamerer also placed ninth with a second entry ZA-25-EIN-178, confirming the depth and consistency of their team on the day.
