Smith Fourie OLR sent 117 pigeons from 29 fanciers to the 674km Final race from Vanrhynsdorp in the Western Cape.
Liberation took place at 07:30 under foggy, misty conditions typical of early spring mornings on the West Coast, with light north-westerly winds and temperatures of 14°C to 16°C. By the midway point over the Central Karoo, conditions turned warmer and more unstable, with temperatures climbing into the mid-20s and a fresh north-westerly breeze building through the interior. Arrivals into Golden Valley came through a cooler, cloudy afternoon below 20°C, with light drizzle and moderate to fresh south-westerly headwinds on the final leg.

Jackie + Paul claimed the win at 1292.81 m/min, leading Smith Fourie OLR's FINAAL home. Team Oberholster followed in 2nd with 'Steinbro - 81'. Jackie + Paul took 3rd, with a third Jackie + Paul pigeon close behind in 4th. JJJ claimed 5th with 'Gogga'. Team Phillips came home in 6th, with Gerdie Landman following in 7th. Johan Troskie claimed 8th, and Austin Powers took 9th. Fourie & Olivier rounded out the top 10 in 10th — the entire top 10 arriving within 29 minutes of the winner.

What an unbelievable performance of Team Jackie + Paul in the final race from Vanrhynsdorp 674km. Dominating the race by placing 1st 3rd and 4th! It is also important to note that the final race winner of Jackie + Paul was part of a 2 pigeon break away with more than 26minutes before the 3rd place pigeon arrived.
The final race winning pigeon ZA25-EC GHT-1909, is bred off a fantastic pair of pigeon from Paul Webber. In 2023 this pair bred the 3rd Place Final Karoo Million OLR 820km, now adding another impressive achievement to their breeding record!
